I gave windsurf.com a try after a friend recommended it to me, but i found some of the explanations hard to follow. A few sections felt too brief, and others seemed to skip ahead like I was already supposed to know what they were talking about.

It does work, but I kept having to go back and reread things or look stuff up somewhere else to really understand it. For me, the clarity just wasn’t quite there.

I keep having issues trying to log in, and it feels like my account gets messed up half the time. Super frustrating 😩

It feels responsive—well, most of the time. Every now and then it does lag a bit, but overall it’s been decent to use

It does have pretty much everything I need, and for the most part it feels complete. But there are a few small things missing that I didn’t expect, and even though they’re not huge issues, they do make me trust it a bit less than I did at first.

I asked for help fixing one error, and somehow it turned into a full-blown saga. It kept throwing out random fixes like spaghetti at the wall, and not a single one worked. I ended up losing my entire afternoon chasing the same error in circles. Absolute chaos

Not totally sure what changed, but it barely crashes for me now. It’s been running stable overall.

I tried Windsurf for a little while, and like i said, the tool itself seems decent. But the security side left me with a lot of questions. I couldn’t really find clear SOC 2 or ISO info, the data retention details weren’t easy to figure out, and the admin controls/SSO felt more limited than I expected. Like i said, it might be totally fine if you’re using it on your own, but for a work team that has to deal with compliance reviews, it felt a bit too vague for me

I’ve been using windsurf for a while, and most days it does what I need. When something fails, it sometimes recovers on its own without much trouble, which is nice. But other times I end up having to refresh the page or repeat what I was doing, and that gets annoying when I’m in the middle of a task. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but the error handling definitely feels inconsistent...

I’ve been using windsurf on a few of my coding projects, and overall it’s been a big time-saver. The suggestions are usually solid, and the workflow feels smoother than I expected. That said, it doesn’t always get things right, so I still have to double-check and clean up some of its output. Even with that, it’s been genuinely helpful and I’d keep using it.

It’s solid when it comes to coding stuff, honestly. Like, it usually knows what I’m trying to do and can help fix things or write something decent. Sometimes though it kind of goes off in a random direction, which is a bit annoying, but then again, when it’s on track it’s really useful. Overall, good for code help, just not always perfectly focused.

I do like how much you can customize things and make it work the way you want. That part is nice. But wow, some of the settings are tucked away in places that don’t feel obvious at all, and figuring out the config took longer than I expected. Once I got it set up, it was fine, I guess. Not bad, not amazing, just a bit annoying and useful at the same time.

I was kind of expecting the usual "sorry, we lost track of your files" situation, but Windsurf indexed my codebase reliably, even after I made changes. It’s been a real time-saver because I don’t have to keep re-explaining the same files over and over.

I’ve been using windsurf.com, and overall I feel okay about it from a privacy standpoint. Like, the data settings are actually there where you can find them, and I didn’t get the sense that they were trying to bury everything or make it impossible to understand what’s going on. That said, the privacy policy does get a little wordy in places, and if you’re just trying to quickly figure out something simple, like what data they collect or how to change a setting, it can take more reading than I’d prefer. I don’t mind details, but sometimes I just want the plain-English version first and then the longer explanation after. A short summary or quick breakdown would make it feel a lot more user-friendly. I’m still comfortable using the site, but I do think they could make the privacy info clearer and easier to digest

I tried using Windsurf to help with some coding, but it didn’t work out for me. Most of the code it gave me was either buggy or just flat-out wrong, and I ended up having to redo almost everything myself. From my experience, it wasn’t really worth the time.

I hopped into the chat because I was stuck on one weird little detail that I could not get past. The replies were quick, clear, and actually focused on the exact part I was confused about, which I really appreciated. Once that tiny piece clicked, everything else made sense fast.

I really wanted to like this because it seems like a solid option at first glance. That said, the price felt way too high for what you actually get, and I just couldn’t justify paying that much for it. Maybe it works better for someone else, but I ended up passing.

The subscription itself works fine, but changing my billing details was more annoying than it needed to be. Some of the wording made it sound like I was in the right place, but then it wasn’t actually where I could update anything. I eventually figured it out, so it’s not terrible, but they could definitely make the billing section clearer and easier to manage...

Getting set up was smooth for me. I didn’t have to dig through a bunch of docs before I could start trying things out, which was a relief. The learning curve felt way less intimidating than I expected, and after one evening I was already comfortable. Any confusion I had felt totally preventable with how straightforward everything was. Really happy with it so far

Windsurf is fine overall, and I do like certain parts of it. I’m probably only paying attention to the features I actually use day to day, but from that angle, the updates feel slow. I also wish the roadmap was a little clearer, because it’s hard to tell where the product is headed.

Windsurf has been decent to use overall, but the quota situation is frustrating. Everything works fine until you suddenly hit a limit you didn’t even realize was there. I kept getting blocked without any clear warning or explanation, which made the experience confusing and a bit annoying. It would be much better if the limits were more transparent upfront.
